Literal explorations of the garden, form the essential theme of the label Shriya Som’s Fall Winter 2019 collection. Surface embroideries and embellishments, often playing in layers of wistful tones or spirited contrasts. Dark and light, soft and vivid, layered or pleated, the collection explores the idea of duality. Teased and textured fabrics in semi-circular or ‘petal’ patterns, extend this theme. A play of colours seeks expression through dual tones, whether achieved by layering or dyeing techniques.
